Treasurer's Department

Sherry Brockie has lived in Blackman Charter Township for twenty years. She has held the position of Treasurer for 3 terms. Sherry is a Certified Public Finance Administrator, and an Assessor. Prior to becoming the Treasurer, Sherry was the co-owner and Chief Financial officer of Brockie Fabricating Inc.

Sherry serves on the Finance Committee, Administrative Committee, LDFA, and the Parks Committee. Sherry is past president for the Jackson County Treasurers Association, and continues to serve on the Education Committee and Membership Committee for the Michigan Municipal Treasurers Association.

Sherry’s family includes Gale, husband of twenty years. One son (Paul) who attends Northwest High School and JCC. Her extended family includes a 6 year old Black Lab (Cricket) and a spoiled rotten feline named M.A.C. (my alley cat) that a resident dropped off.
